Run Amazon PPC in Spanish
Here’s a crazy stat
About America that will make you more money:
There are 41.8 million Spanish speakers in the US.
!!!
For reference, that’s larger than the population of California (which was 39.35 million in 2020).
Naturally, some Spanish speakers do Amazon searches in Spanish to find and buy products.
I’ll give you an example.
Say you sell “yoga mats” Pop “yoga mat” into Google translate (English –> Spanish) and you get: “estera de yoga”
Then, I popped “estera de yoga” into my Amazon keyword research tool and I see that it gets 333 searches per month.
This doesn’t seem like a lot on its own.
But if you multiply this out across ALL your top keywords on ALL your products…
…you’ve just unlocked 1000s of new monthly searches.
More examples from this niche:
– “ejercicio” (exercise) = 365 monthlies
– “alfombrilla” (mat) = 58 monthlies
– “tapete de yoga” (yoga mat) = 419 monthlies
– and it goes on!
They’re less competitive than English terms because everyone knows to target English terms.
Many brands haven’t caught onto this, though.
But not you 😉
Here’s an actionable plan to monetize this info:
Step 1
Download your advertising Search Term Report that shows which terms work well for you in Amazon Ads. Here’s quick video tutorial I did on how to download and analyze the search term report: https://youtu.be/u9MJUsXSeoQ
Step 2
Once you have your best English terms, use Google Translate to translate them into Spanish. Note: Google translate can be “stiff” and overly literal, so if a native Spanish speaker could cross-check the keyword list, even better.
Step 3
Run those terms as Amazon Ads in a Sponsored Products Manual campaign. I’d recommend doing them as Broad and Phrase match types to cast a wider net and get more data. Set bids around the “Suggested” range.
Definitely take advantage of this one while your competitors remain oblivious to it.
I think it can be a nice sales lift.
