Amazon just changed Buyer Seller Messaging! This can print money
Amazon just launched a crazy new feature.
You’re gonna want to see this.
It’s in beta right now (i.e. early testing mode), but could be a significant profit center for sellers.
Do you remember a couple years back how Amazon banned sellers’ ability to email customers who unsubscribed from communication? Post-purchase follow up for reviews fell off a cliff. I even heard some people refer to it as the “Review-pocalypse”… lol.
This new feature is a pendulum swinging in the other direction.
You can now email people who clicked “follow” your brand on Amazon.

I just checked the account of a customer of ours and they have 232 customers ready to be emailed! Because 232 people opted to “follow” the brand. Amazon just built them an email list! How cool is that?
What makes this a money printer?
Human psychology.
I just found these stats online: it costs 5-10x more to acquire a customer versus selling to a current customer. And, returning customers spend 67% more than those who are buying for the first time.
This means you can make WAY more money by selling to previous customers.
Some thoughts on how to use this feature:
– seasonal promotions (holidays, seasonal sales, etc.)
– a “membership” club/newsletter for your followers or repeat buyers. Exclusive discounts that only members get
– pair this with an Amazon coupon code
– new product launches (push new products to increase their keyword rank)
– inventory liquidation. Discount your slow movers to free up FBA space
