When to delegate in your Amazon FBA business
Who doesn’t love a good generalization?!
They make things easier to understand.
Up and down.
Left and right.
Hot and cold.
Red and blue.
Sure, there are shades of grey in between.
But if a theory is roughly correct most of the time, I think it’s useful.
So here’s mine:
In business, I’ve seen 2 main types of people:
Product and distribution. Product people are good at:
Creating new products, technology, details, operations, finance, timelines, project management. They tend to be sharp, introverted, and very organized.
Distribution people are good at:
Sales, marketing, new business, new initiatives, upselling, cross-selling, making the cash register ring, being the face of the business. They tend to be personable, extroverted, and a little disorganized.
When they’re put together, magic happens.
They don’t teach this in school.
In school…
You have to be a gosh darned Renaissance person. Good at everything from English to biochemistry. But once you get out into the business world, you get to “cheat” and let others do all of the work that you’re not good at/don’t like (actually, it’s called “delegating” and it’s encouraged).
It pays to double down on your zone of genius and let others do the rest.
Things to ask yourself about your Amazon business:
Which one of these am I?
Is there a function that the business is lacking? What people would I have to put in place to solve any bottlenecks that I have?
What is the current bottleneck in the business? (It’s either product or distribution.)
If you have a product that people love but aren’t getting the sales you want, we can team up to fix that.
My team and I spend well over 14 million dollars a year just on Amazon ads.
It’s all we do.
We eat, sleep, and nerd out on this stuff.
And we’re looking to double the revenue of some more businesses.
If you’d like to explore exactly how this works in 2023 and if your supply chain can handle much more revenue than you have now, schedule a call with my team using this link:
