Amazon FBA success story David Schomer shares 3 growth secrets
I just made an appearance on the “Firing the Man Podcast” episode #150.
It’s a show where two 7-figure Amazon sellers (Ken & David) interview ecommerce “experts” like yours truly 😉
The goal is to help people “fire the man” and sell online full time.
Here’s our full chat:

It was a great conversation.
Today, I want to bring you 1 thing from our chat:
We were talking about “inflection points”.
i.e. what are 2-3 things that really moved the needle in our businesses? David and Ken have both grown from 6 to 7 figures on Amazon. And are now moving towards 8 figures.
David said:
– outsourcing his Amazon PPC ads. He’s a CPA and so was technically capable of doing it, but realized ads and spreadsheets are discreet skills. Also, he didn’t want to be stuck in his business. But rather outsource the work, and then manage the people doing the work
– getting Amazon Brand registry. David saw his conversion rates go way up after getting BR
– international expansion. So far, David loves the new revenue from Canada & the UK, but Germany has been a hard country to expand into
So, please enjoy this insight and many more in the interview above 🙂
I’ll leave you with a quote from David about working with me back in the day:
“Getting stuff off your plate. Getting outside the mindset of the owner-operator. When I look at my business (the first one I started) there’s several inflection points either where something went really well or something went very badly. One of the first inflection points I had was when I hired AsteroidX. I remember talking to Ken (Ken was the one that recommended them) and he said ‘what are you doing for PPC?’ I said: ‘I self manage. I’m really good with spreadsheets. I’m a CPA. He said: ‘are you profitable?’ and I said ‘no’.
So, they hired us.
